Basic Guidelines
We offer these suggestions to help you enjoy your flag for a longer period of time. Only flags made specifically for exterior use should be displayed outdoors. For best results, do not expose your flag to rain, snow or abnormally high winds. Do not place your flag where wind will whip it against rough surfaces, tree branches, wires, etc. Inspect your flag for signs of wear. Trim off and re-hem torn or frayed ends. Exposure to wet weather will sometimes cause some of the dye to color run. This can occur even with the finest of quality dyes and materials. If color damage occurs due to weather exposure, prompt cleaning will usually remove discoloration. Consider having two flags and rotating them. Periodic "rest" can prolong flag life.

Cleaning
To keep your flag's rich colors looking bright, clean your flag regularly. Clean outdoor flags by hand- washing in warm water with a mild soap. To avoid color run-off, avoid letting the flag soak in the wash water. Promptly hang dry after washing.

Professional dry cleaning is recommended for indoor and parade flags.

Storage
Improper storage will ruin your flag. Never roll a wet or damp flag for storage. Hang a wet flag neatly and evenly so it is spread out to dry properly. Dampness ruins fabrics and causes mildew. Store your flags in a well ventilated area.
